About us

We are Herman and Sharon, and since July 2024 we have been running this beautiful and charmingly furnished B&B.

Herman and I had always wanted a small hotel or guesthouse. So when a bungalow became available in 2018 (right next to our own house, of all places), Herman didn’t hesitate for a second. I still had my doubts, given the very dated state of the property, but Herman managed to convince me. After six years of renovating, we are now the owners of our wonderful B&B, something we are incredibly proud of.

Now that Herman has retired and I have left my job, we run the B&B together, and we love it. We make a good team and truly enjoy our guests and their fascinating stories. We never imagined we would enjoy it this much.

After our guests have left, we always have a cup of tea together, usually in our garden by the water. There we read the latest reviews in our guestbook. With big smiles on our faces we read the kind words of appreciation, and sometimes we even have to wipe away a tear of pride.

We hope to keep doing this for a long time, with just as much enthusiasm.
